Is Paul's morning glory full of red and silver glitter? Can't really tell there.

Yep , I know the pictures from my IPhone aren't that good . My camera pictures may have turned out better but I think everyone has had enough of me . If there are some lures you want a better look at I can use the camera and see if it turns out better . You want a better picture of the morning glory one ?

Hey fishingtwo, thanks for posting those vintage mirrolures, really cool with the old prism tape inserts too.

Your welcome, got a lot of hardware.

I have some of the rubberbacks but never caught anything on them. Lots of old mirrorlures, few corkies and even more tops.

The top one doesn't have the red eyes ... That's cool . Do you know when they switched to red eyes. ?

They started to phase them out in the mid 60's and discontinued the "amber" eyes completely in 1970!

                    • Sorry sorry, my dyslexia is kicking in early this morning, mid 70's was the phase out and 1980 was the last run of amber eyes.

                      • Have a cup of coffee , Brandon . Thanks for the answer . Wow , the amber eye plug is a neat collector one . In the box too !

                        • Post more pictures when you can , fishingtwo . Do you collect or have a bunch of use to fish with lures ? About 5 years ago Academy sold off all their old 51 and 52 plugs cheap .... Colors they don't make now . I went around to all the area Academy's and bought a bunch , some good colors too . Such as a black back , GOLD side , black belly . I like it better than the silver side .

                          • That pink 51 I showed is good . 5 years ago you couldn't find them . They only had it on a 52 and I had to special order a minimum of 20 or so of them . I converted some to 51's . I have the rest sitting in their boxes . Do you use M52 or M52's Brandon , Kenny ? Ya'll can have one . No rattles . Good color . I forget the name . It's like their Emerald Green plug . Real bright and shiny , what's the word ?
I drill a hole in the nose with my dental drill , HAR , and fill in the top hole with super glue . The 52's have a narrower body than the 51's .

                              • Cool mod idea Doc, and yes I fish 52's and I wouldn't turn down a 51 of course! I don't have any right now though.
I hate to say it but I'm just now starting to get into mirrolures because I got so wrapped up in corkies and soft plastics . I have some of the newer models like the catch's and mirrodine/mirrominnow and top waters too but I bought some of my first 52's last week. Black back gold side orange belly and red back gold side yeller belly.
