No marking my spots! Those PVC pole will magicaly disappear . The concrete blocks definatly need marked. I have those marked on the gps and always stear clear of that area in the dark or slow down. To the west of Caranchua Reef there is a wood structure thats sticks up out of trhe water that needs marked aswell as some new wood structure on the west tip of Confederate. A reflective marker on the sunken skrimp boat is not a bad idea either. Very dangerous in the dark. I'm really suprised there has not been anm accident here with all the boats comming out of Chocolate heading to the pass. I wouldn't mind remarking the main channel behind the pass. Remove alot of the older markers that are all out of whack and lay down some new ones. I'll check my schedule, if I'm not running a trip this day I would like to volunteer for remarking the pass and other sheet on the lower end of the bay.

Thanks for volunteering your time AP... I'll pay you in Coronas if your not on a charter

I'd love to mark the main channel from Mid West Bay to the Pass and from Bird Island where yall run out of Chocolate... To accomplish this means a lot of PVC!

Does anyone get a discount at Home Depot or any other store?

I'm thinking we'll have 100+ maybe even 200 8'-10' PVC poles to hammer into the sand.

Remember were marking both sides so you can properly navigate.

Its usually between $3-4 per 10ft section. So probably like $600-700! for 200 pieces.

This area would be a big help to me. I would like to help if I can. Easter Weekend may be tough, I'm a Worship leader at my Church and Easter will be just too busy for me.

I will be at the meeting on the 10th. Maybe we can have some teams working on different weekends.

Just a thought.....Post it up on 2cool.....Just ask who might be able to help with the material and let them know who is putting the effort together. They just did alot of marking in East Bay and think that they got all of the pvc donated. It would save some money and we might get a bunch of guys to help out.

1" is pretty small, we used 2" at pirates. But I guess something is better than nothing!

If they are $ 1.16 per 10 ft, I am willing to throw in $ 100 to help purchase 200 pieces.

I'll throw in $100 plus the reflective tape. I have 2" x 120' of red and green after the club meeting I might have a PVC taping party at FWE H.Q.

I wouldn't hurt to take a trailer thru the west end and pick up all of the left over pieces that Ike left behind. I saw quite a bit by Kenny's and thru Sea Isle and Terramar. Just a thought.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

That would leave us with around $ 50 (because of taxes), so who else is going to pony up?

BTW, I might not be able to make the meeting, but I will sure try. If not, I will be down on the island this weekend and next, so I can come by and drop of the money to you Coe.
