A few hrs after the spill there were boats with spill booms already doing their job. Chatter abouy it has been minimal. But their are clean up crew boats all over the area .

Heard 294,000 gallons of fuel oil..... Not sure how much leaked. Heard a lot of chatter on the radio about 1400. Bad news.

This spill sounds terrible. Gonna pray and ask for protection of our bay system.

Hopefully we won't have tar balls showing up on the beach front with trout fishing in the surf right around the corner. Don, have you had a chance to fish the new brand of soft baits you picked up at the fishing show? Need a review, may have to pick some up for a little field test.

I have, used the DOA paddle tails in corpus, 1 trout and 2 red both cut me off around the dock, both werearound the 25"range.
Picked up several under size fish.

I know the d.o.a. been around a long time. I was wondering about the new manufacturer, swamp baits or something like that?

Anyone hear any encouraging news of containment and clean up of the spill? Chocolate is a long drive with the 3.50 a gallon gas prices. I'm sure they'll be closing in on 4.00 by the middle of next week. Gotta pay for some Bonehead's mistake as usual.

No haven't heard any "good news". I'm afraid that part of the ship channel/bay will be trashed for a while, there are pics of it washing up on the shore. I hope they closed the Moses lake gate before it got that far. maybe the most f t got blown offshore.
