Termo and I hit moses this evening to run out and fish some galvo bay reefs only to find the flood gate closed. Upon returning to the launch, we were informed of a ship- barge collison resulting in several barrels being spilled around the dike. Haven't yet seen anything on the news as yet but now we know why the gate was closed. Dammmn.

Here's a link to the story...... It figures....third cast Harvey catches a 24" fat girl and I'm right behind him with a solid 18"er. We think we would have slayed 'em if we could have gotten out of Moses Lake, but with the gate closed, no tidal current killed the fishing in the lake. Didn't get another bite after the gate closed...thank God we weren't outside when they closed the gate or we couldn't get back in to trailer the boat. I'm at least thankful none of that crap got into the lake. (Harvey released the sow).

Couldn't have happened in a worse spot in the whole bay. Tides an currents could literally affect every bay system in Galveston hopefully it's contained to just one compartment.
