  • Jedi Mind Trick or Rock and roll ESP?

So Mike and I were hanging out having dinner on the front porch of Blockade Runners Sat. night. I'm chowing down on some looted rice and pork chops. Mike is jamming to the radio. He up and says, "I want the next song to be . . . " AND THAT SONG COMES ON 10 SECONDS LATER! Wow, kind of cool. I mentioned that I had done that a couple times, but never had a witness.

As that song was winding down, Mike says, "I want the next song to be . . ." and he begins to sing the lyrics to "Shooting Star" by Bad Company. 10 seconds later, it comes on. HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS ROCK AND ROLL! He called 2 songs in a row! I got up and grabbed a note pad and asked him for this week's lotto numbers, but he couldn't deliver. He was too busy running up and down the stairs freaking out .

We were both absolutely amazed, but I'm here to tell you that it happened just like that. Anyone here ever pulled one like that outta their rear? - Sandy

I'll take the polygraph. The tape player is kaput, so that's outta the question.

I believe that Eric Clapton song was the first one that I called.

Public service announcement: Hey y'all, I know it's all in good fun and you're just talking about songs, but some people might not see it that way, say like the father of one of my students. Remember I'm kind of a public figure. So please don't even joke about anything like that going on 'round the camp. Coach don't party dat way, and I wouldn't want anyone thinking otherwise.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Considering it was a rock block weekend and they normally only play a handful of songs from each band, let me be the first to say I'm not all that impressed
