  • V-day fishing

Hey guys the girlfriend suggested some fishing Sat. morning. I'm not complaining but I'm not sure where to take her.

This would be her first wadefishing trip so I don't want it to be a bad experience. I was thinking about wading the backside of SLP. I figure it has good shallow sandy bottom and plenty of space.

Is this a productive spot this early in the year? She's not too experienced with artificials, so I was thinking of either buying a couple dozen finger mullet or mabey a gulp on a circle hook under a mauler-type float.

    What do ya'll think?

Make it fun for her! She'll enjoy just being out there with yah. Laura won't wadefish unless she can see the bottom

I'll be out there in the morning. If you want, I can come pick ya'll up and take you to a good spot or two.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

Thanks Mike, I may take you up on that offer. I'm sure she would like the boat ride. Will pay for the taxi fare with beers

It's on then. Coach Law and myself have to stop in Tiki at Boom's place first and pick up a set of steps that we "caught" yesterday and then we'll be there about 9:30 or so. The old KOA camp on the Freeport side of the bridge.
