Wow guys I don't even know how to tell y'all how excited and happy I am. Y'all should've seen the look on my moms face when she read these last two pages. I've been wanting to do this for a few years but always had a factor eliminate the possibility($$). I'm willing to raise whatever I can be it a pig, lamb, goat. A heifer would be nice but I think the feed bill would be a bit much. Like I have said guys I will get back to y'all on this subject ASAP.

Wow Primer I talk to my Friend about you and he said we can help him out a 100%, now I don’t know if you want to raise a pig but I can get you one, and these pig go for 500 to 1000 dollars. What you need to do if you got the want’s is find out from your ffa teacher what shows yall are going to or that you want to go to,. I think we are to late for your county show, it takes 6 months to raise a pig for show, so you could go for San Antonio, the state fair in Dallas or the HLSR.There are a lot of Jackpot shows we can hit while the hog is growing and it gives your animal experience in the ring.
Its up to you and your family Primer I can help you all the way to the show with my trailers and truck and getting your animal ready for show, but the feed bill will be on you bud think about it and let me no?

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm trying to figure out roughly how much a month a heifer would cost. Pen rent is 30 a month. I'm not 100% sure on feed as to what I would need to get. If i'm not mistaken the district provides all the transportation for the show animals.

I guess school is about to start Primer and you can get all theses ? answered or you could call your AG teacher .I talked to Sneekypete and his friend raises show rabbits and sends them all over the states to buyers,so there is another lead we got.
Figure out after talking to your teacher what animals you are interested in that you have time to raise before a show I will start looking into the dates, since my son lost interest in showing I have forgot all the dates

Like I said when I get back to school I can get all these questions answered. I no longer have a number to an ag teacher at the school. School starts monday. I need to get a list put together of questions to ask. I'll probably ask them first thing that morning when I go in.
