Primer something to consider is where you keep your animals, Do yall have a ag barn where you can house your animal if you don’t have the room or city right to. The pigs I raise are not at my house do to the rules that pigs can’t be in the city limits, so for a couple of years me and my son raised a few goats and rabbits I could keep in my back yard, If you could get an animal in your ag barn it really helps for the sake of the facility, like water, shower stall, practice arena.

Yessir! It's not far from hooters. I was planning on keeping the animal there because about the only thing I would be able to keep at home is rabbits. But in all actuality I can't do that.

What about a Lamb? I raised several of those and they are fairly easy to keep.

I cannot afford to do 2 projects. I can barely afford to do poultry without a sponsor. The reason I'm looking for a sponsor is so I can raise a bigger animal.

And at this point in time I have no transportation. I will be getting rides to the barn until mid October.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.You will enjoy it.It is alot of work but well worth it.If you raise breeding stock you can get some extra excused days out of school for the shows.Good Luck!

Wow Primer I talk to my Friend about you and he said we can help him out a 100%, now I don’t know if you want to raise a pig but I can get you one, and these pig go for 500 to 1000 dollars. What you need to do if you got the want’s is find out from your ffa teacher what shows yall are going to or that you want to go to,. I think we are to late for your county show, it takes 6 months to raise a pig for show, so you could go for San Antonio, the state fair in Dallas or the HLSR.There are a lot of Jackpot shows we can hit while the hog is growing and it gives your animal experience in the ring.
