Tro-Trout, sorry I lost my temper, but as a few of my ex-friends have said, sometimes I can be a little grumpy.

I should know better than to try and fish on a weekend in the summer.

For future information, here's the way I would look at this if I were you.

You get up really early and go to a small reef before dawn that you've fished for over twenty years. you anchor away from the sweet spot and are fishing your way toward it. No big hurry right?
Then an while later a boat comes in and anchors on the other side and two guys hop out and the one in front is making a bee line for the sweet spot.
Now there's competition for the spot which causes a lot of stress (the opposite of the reason you fish) and you get angry at the other guys for ******* up your wade.

SO...... here's what I would probably would have done yesterday morning if I saw a boat on a small reef. I would find another place to fish, period!
If they were already wading on one end I might ease in and anchor on the South opposite end but probably not.

Let's play nice. Sounds like everyone has made up and talked it out. Opinions differed on what was happening at the time. I think we all learned something here.

Worst case I've seen is that idjit with a Pathfinder and yammie and has his 2 teens. They literally pulled within 30' and cast corks around my wading buddy-I mean within 5-10 feet of him. No respect and not a clue.


Best advice, find another spot if someone's there. I saw you all and thought "Gee, awfully crowded today." I would have moved to another spot.
