neighbor went out to fish, and suddenly came back with a stinger lodged in his thumb muscle, he broke it off. Was a small one from what he said, but, for me that 30 cent hook is just not worth this kind of trouble. His wife took him to the doc in the box on 61st street. I sure hope they know how to treat it and back it out of his muscle with out making it worse. Will know more later.

Please watch out for the SLP Leprechauns that hide out under the San Luis Bridge. They migrate around that area this time of the year and I think these leprechauns are the suspects in that shooting a few weeks ago. They are known to still your fish, break into your vehicles for gold, and even put gaftop and hard heads on your lines.

Stinger lodged in his thumb? Stinger hook or did he try to string a ray? Either way, if I got a ray on, it aint getting near me-line cut and adios ray.

Jellyfish is one thing... but when thousands of sting rays lift off the ground all at once and start moving away from your boat as your moving into position I know not to step in the water lol... I drifted that day

While on the topic of sting rays... I few times the past month a weird "flapping" on the surface caught my eye. Looks like a fin but when I could get a good look at it, it was a stingray "flying" on top of the water!! What is that? some sort of mating ritual? BTW this isnt in 1 ft of water. Been happening in 6-7 ft water around laffites.
