I got the 1st one at 16:34......pon..pon from the CG. We were in the Bayport channel monitoring channel 16 when the call came thru. There was no way that we could make it over there.......East was 4-5'....that's when I started making phone calls. I hope all is well with this situation and there was no way I could make it there. Hopefully everything turns out ok.

Just got off the phone with US Coast Guard in Galveston.

The boat owner had run the Skeeter aground. Had called for help (a friend), was picked up & I guess while he was off getting help or arranging help to get it towed off the sand bar or reef, someone saw it and reported it as "adrift". It was grounded & the owner is okay, boat was towed off and everyone okay from what USCG said.
