hi guys
it has been a while since i have given away a free custom billystix so i thought i might start a contest today.
the contest starts today and ends on 5--9--10 just post up and let me and the others know why you would like to have a "hand built one of a kind billystix custom rod spiral rod"
there will also be runnerups that will have a chance to have their very own billystix built at a very reasonable price, so lets see how many entry's we can get for this giveawasy and enjoy the contest, if i can be of help to anyone feel free to give me a call, i have some new very light weight american made blanks that i can build with lowprofile titanium guides and do a split grip rod is less than 4ozs total weight, so give me a call if you want more info on these new blanks.

I think 007 deserves a billystix IMHO. Hes always helping out and he's even jumped overboard in less than a minute after a billystix.

1. I have 4 other rods but can't use them because they don't compare to the Stix.
2. My Buccaneers suck
3. You still have Buccaneers stickers from my rod I paid full price for
4. If I win I will give the rod I replace to 007 so 2 people come out ahead in this.

i would be so grateful if i got one because im still young and can inspire other young guys like me to fish more, therefor keeping the sport more appreciated and show people we need fishing around the world. also so people could see why we need it and not do away with it like they are trying to with gun use. i have a lot of friends willing to learn and could guide them for buying rods for themselves from you.

Alright here's my story... I currently had/have two custom rods made by another company, whose name I will keep anonymous just as respect. The first one was a 6'6" light action that was sooo awesome until one hot July day while out at the North Jetty. I was jigging a gulp and all the sudden bam! I had a nice bite. I then set the hook and the rod instantly broke into two pieces below the lowest eye. I lost the fish, but I was more ticked off about breaking a $200 rod into two pieces doing absolutely nothing wrong. The rod still sits in my garage and is worthless, except for the recoil eyes. Although I broke that rod I was still ok becasue I had a second one from the same company until about a month ago. I drove 4 hours down to Port A and had an amazing trip with an guy that I just met this year. He put me on tons of fish both days. At the end of the second day I take my rod out of the holder on the boat abd begin to rince it off. I notice that the tip looks kinda funny, I take a closer look and realize that it is cracked and about the break 3 inches from the top eye. So now its a 6'3" rod with absolutely no sensitivity in the tip. And to top it all off I only have a crappy allstar classic that is probably 8 years old left, that I used to use it as back up, but now its my main rod. I have 3 good reels that I had just cleaned up for the summer and now I am down to 1 good rod. I am a Sophmore at Texas A&M and am the president of the Aggie Gulf Coast Fishermen. I would love to have a new fishing rod to start my summer off right, after such a ridiculously hard semester. We are taking a trip to Matty as a club at the end of may and would like to have a Billystix rod to show off to the rest of the members. Maybe they might end up getting one themselves. Its 1 in the morning and I have to be up in 5 hours because I have to be at a class earlier than normal tomorrow, but I figured what the hell, who needs sleep when theres a chance to get a Bad A** fishing rod for free.

Yeah, our Vice President, Cody Collins, told me about that drawing. He said that he thought it was already over. But if you say it's not, I'll go sign up today. Might as well give myself a better chance for a new rod.

If I had a vote it would be for 007 to win the Stix! I have three Stixs and everyone needs to own at least one. In this case with 007 having all his rods and reels stolen, he is in great need of a rod, and there isn't a better rod out there. So without getting into a long drawn out rambling on what a great guy 007 is, lets just say if you pick him, you couldn't back a nicer more deserving guy.
