  • The Veteran's Memorial is done!

Today, the memorial stones were set in the Veteran's Memorial. Abraham's Eagle Project is done! Here are a few pictures:

We can't being to express our thanks to all who supported Abraham with donations and with wishes, thoughts, and prayers. Y'all were a big part of this memorial. Please stop by and see it for yourself. Also, we will be planning a dedication ceremony, and when those plans come together, we will let everyone know.

That is beyond awesome. Give Abraham a pat on the back from me! I'm going to try and get over there tomorrow and see it first hand.

That is the kewlest part about this project, it will be there long past all of us. I'm proud to have been a part of it and everyone else that pitched in should be proud as well. With everything going on in the world and this country today, seeing a young man like Abraham undertake such a project gives me great hope from the future!

If any of y'all are in the area you need to swing by and take a look first hand. The pictures are good but don't do it justice.

The dedication ceremony for the Memorial is scheduled for Memorial Day, May 31, at 8:00 am. The park is on Highway 3, south of FM 517 and north of Dickinson Bayou. We will have reps from 2 VFW posts, the Marine Corps League, and hopefully a lot of folks to pay tribute to our veterans. God knows they deserve it, and with all the work y'all contributed, Dickinson finally has a memorial to say "thank you".

I hope to see y'all there. And for anyone who wants to attend, Abraham's Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, at 2:00. Please e-mail me for more details if you would like to attend that. (nkluksdahl@comcast.net)
