Attention ALL Guides...

Guides... I've been noticing many guides joining the site (which is great) and I've been tossing the idea around and starting to roll out with it...

As some of you are aware (perhaps some are not) we do not allow guides to list their phone numbers, e-mails etc on the website in signatures or on any post on the public forum UNLESS your a paid sponsor.

I've decided to create a page under our "Links" section that says "NEED A GUIDE"

A new page will load with guides names, numbers, areas of expertise (bay system) and website should they have one.

There is a small cost for this service as there is with any advertising but here on FWE we are flexible so send me a PM I can work with you.

BE nice if they can post their reports or such there too.

I love how Steve and Chris Martin and a couple of the other guides post more than come fish with me (old px of a lot of fish and phone number). I have learned a lot from some of the guides quality posts where you get the who, when, how, what the fish were caught on, and something in a 10 mile area of where. .

Jim, we have the board reserved along with many sub forums for reporting catches in particular areas... A list is what I was getting at in regards to my first post... Guides are welcome to post with everyone else...

What I want to stay away from is the following:

I think its silly to post a picture with a black bar across it. I'll just delete it if people do that. Why even post it?!? Were hear to learn & teach. There are many guides on here that lurk. There are many that post. Then, they're are those that share openly and it shows by there communication and respect level on the board. (Nothing against the others but the ones that share I've seen an influx in board members asking and calling them up for charters)

I'm not here to make money, some people are. I'm here to fish & learn. This was started as a club, a place to learn and share a wealth of knowledge... and when someone gets TOO big for that... Then happy trails cause that is not what this site is about nor its member base and I for one will not tolerate it.

I think we all know what I'm getting at and where I want this website to head.

We welcome all guides I just want everything to be fair for our sponsors I've always policed it and nobody ever says anything. I just want to make sure everyone is aware of how we've been doing things and why.

The website is outstanding, I really appreciate what you have created and how you manage it!! I will purchase advertising from you this year, most likely for product versus service.?? If I hit the point that I want to take on new customers, I will certainly advertise here first. I'm not doing the things that I have been doing to gain customers. I would much prefer to see the business going to guys like Greg, Clint, Thomas, and Glen. I'm sure there are others, and I think that it's awesome that many are very willing to share. With the forums the way that they are, and the community so willing to share, this is a site that I'm happy to be a part of. You will continue to see contributions from me, and I promise, no posts soliciting business. If you don't mind, I will recommend the guides on here that I know, or others across the coast. When you get my input on a guide or product, it will always be from my first hand experience.
