  • Lizard Fish?

I mentioned this last year to a TP&W guy, and said I'd like to see netting samples of West Bay coves and shorelines specifically looking at the number of Lizard Fish. I know they have a Lizard Fish problem in Florida.
I waded a shoreline yesterday afternoon and in about a 100 yard stretch I caught 6 Lizard Fish. They're aggressive little sob's. They hit jigs w/soft plastics obviously , but also hit Corky XL's worked high and pretty fast. If I caught 6 that means there were probably 60+ in that stretch. Has anyone else noticed the influx of Lizard Fish?

Greens Lake is the only place that I have caught them. They were in 2' of water. Creepy looking.

There are obviously way too many of those in West Bay for some reason.

Late spring/early summer I caught a couple of them in Dana Cove, and one in the main canal of Jamaica Beach.

Prop 1 didn't pass, so keep those Lizard fish in the appropriate bathroom please!

LOL. I catch them frequently on the fly on Anegada. They make good shark bait.
