I hope you got to see the great "sand boondoggle" starting at 61st. in Galveston. It looked really cool for about a month. I can guarantee it's mostly all gone now. What a great business, beach replenishment. You can sell sand and get paid for hauling it, or pay $$$ for a monster dredge to pump it, and when it washes right away you can start all over.

We did a beach nourishment project at work early this year as a condition of a dredging permit. We pumped sand onto 1000 feet of beach out to 400 feet. Looked great till the first high tide windy day. Within 2 weeks it was all gone and looked just like we'd never spent 2 million dollars doing it.Shut up and FISH!!
