So do I Kenny. Momma had one big rule when we got the Atari. If it was light out and it wasn't raining, we were to be OUTSIDE.

In 1984, Dad brought home the first MacIntosh. When you had something on the cutting edge, why would you want a Commodore? The Mac was perfect. It always turned on, never crashed, etc. The games available for it were ok, but by that time I had kind of gotten out of gaming. We kept the Atari on the black and white TV in the garage, but at that time I got into football/baseball pretty heavy. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Can you hook it up to a TV so you can see it and plug in a classic Atari one button joystick so you can control things without getting carpal tunnel syndrome? And finally, can I play Pitfall! on it?From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

RISK was awesome! Mom and Dad would host RISK parties when I was little. Wasn't much fun for me because it was adult time, but I enjoyed all the people in the house and all the fun banter coming from the living room. When I turned about 9 years old, Friday night became family game night. The only bad part about RISK was that it was tough to finish in one night. Stratego was another favorite. I NEVER beat my mom in Stratego. I think I'm gonna buy a new board and challenge her this Summer. LOL!From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. I think I've still got my Stratego from when I was a kid! I loved that game. We got into a Roman strategy game called Phalanx when I was at St.John's that was much more complex. Fun stuff!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6tsYmadTAUOriginally posted by coachlaw View PostStratego was another favorite. I NEVER beat my mom in Stratego. River raid was my favorite. Pops would always have time to sit down and play a game or two when he'd pick me up. I dusted off the Atari for the belly fruits on a rainy day a month or so ago. Good times were had for a couple days before they got bored and it went back into the garage for another day. My oldest fancies himself a gamer so I let him play et while I gave him crap for not being able to figure it out. When I grow up I want to be, One of the harvesters of the sea. I think before my days are done, I want to be a fisherman.
