I will admit, I tore up plenty of my son's Cotton and Sam's game stuff. I felt bad about it, but got over it in about 20 minutes.

Brother. IM coming to your house this weekend. I have YARS REVENGE. LUREFISHER. I never used intellevision, never intelligent enough.... To many buttons. But I sure wasted a large part of my youth on the ATARI 7800. I bet I have old games stored away somewhere for the ATARI. I mean your talking to a guy who has over 5K comics dating back to 1932.

One of my dad's students was the creator of Yar's Revenge. That's one of the games I'm missing. But I remember it wasn't that good in the first place. How about Kaboom! and River Raid. Good stuff.

OK, who here has actually FLIPPED the score to zero on Asteroids? Yep, THIS GUY. Yes, it was many hours of pointless, useless, worthless time-wasting. But I was a legend on the block as the first to do it . . . . for about 2 days before everyone else did it too.

Hmmmm. Intellivision - I never had a high opinion of it because the only kid in our neighborhood that had it was such a pompous brat. He was always talking about how everyone's Ataris were so crappy compared to his Intellivision. The pomposity went into overload when George Plimpton did a commercial for Intellivision. After all, we like Plimpton BECAUSE of his pomposity. I went over to the kid's house and tried Intellivision once. Yep, too many buttons. I told him sorry, but Intellivision sucks. We ended up playing Star Wars. This kid had every dad gum ship and action figure. No wonder he was pompous. He had space ships we'd never seen before. I'm not going to tell the rest of that story on a PG site though. Primer knows what I'm talkin' about. I'll just say that his mother was pretty embarrassed about one of the spaceships that he was flying around. I never went back to that house.

I was given a new Nintendo in the 80' s but wasn't interested . 6-8 months later I dragged it out and got addicted . I couldn't stop playing the first LEGEND OF ZELDA . My girlfriend , now wife , would come over and say what's this and started playing it . Soon she would come over , say hi , and sit down for hours playing ZELDA . I had to buy another Nintendo set so I could play !

I like military history . I didn't care for the individual soldier games like MEDAL OF HONOR . I like strategic games on a division , corps , battalion , brigade level on a topographic map . Sandy , you would love my favorite of that genre , Sid Meiers computer games Gettysburg and Antietam . They are old but show up on amazon now and again .

I spent way too long with Sid Meyer's Gettysburg. I once got the entire Yankee army to surrender, and right on the 4th of July!

Bad news on Atari. Dad gum cable isn't going to arrive until Monday. Radio Shack, which used to have everything is completely useless. They're nothing but a phone store now. Stupid smart phones ruined my Atari weekend.

2015 ruined your Atari weekend. Not phones.

I played Pong a few times and maybe Pacman once. I prefer playing outdoors.
