So it'll be chilly, but the wind forecasts are way down. My cold weather buddy 007 will be outta town this weekend and so far it's just me headin' to the camp. Anybody else want to join? Got the Ghost Camp to tug on, but I won't do anything there yet without 007 present. Not much but some little things to do at the camp. If anyone wants to come out and enjoy roughin' it in the cold, lemme know. If I can't get a couple of people, I might scrub this weekend.

Coach, I can try and come see you; let me see what's up this weekend. I went the other day to see some friends in Demi John Island. They told me the next door neighbor worked at Angelton school and was a coach or admin. Her name is Stacey, does her name ring a bell? Then, I'm sitting at the deer camp, one of the younger guys whom had brought a friend, said he was from Angelton. I had to ask and I'll be dang he knew you too, I forgot the name but i will get it.Last edited by WestEndAngler; December 2, 2009, 03:40 PM. Back to the subject at hand. Looks like TMO will make the trip, but nothing's for sure. He said he'll get up in the Ghost Camp and hack at it. We just need a deck hand now. Might have some new lights to try out, but I'm not sure about that yet. It'll probably be too nippy to fish Sat. night.
By the way, Tres set up a blog for his family so they could see the place. Check it out at

Hey Sandy, it looks like I am not going to make it out on Saturday. I can make it on Sunday but it looks like it might be raining. I'm in for next Friday and Saturday. I should be able to bring the permanent lights out and get them wired and installed on a pole . Stay home where it's warm!!

Not a problem either of ya. I'm going to head out there Saturday at least for the day. The weather can be so hit or miss during this time of the year, I can't pass up a good day, and Saturday looks good. I'll likely spend the night if the forecast for Sunday shows the showers not arriving until the afternoon.
We'll see if anyone else joins up.From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Saturday no longer looks good. Dad gum weather morons are killin' me. Can't really afford to miss workin' on the Ghost Camp, but you can't do anything about the weather. Not looking forward to snow, but it would be cool to see snow out there. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

FlatOut and I have shifts this weekend.
Then the holidays are comming, these next few weekends are going to be busy.
Got a question...on a weekend I'm free, can I just come without my boat and get picked up at the ramp? I guess it sounds a little selfesh but I don't want to drag it down and then clean and put it up if I don't even get to fire up the fan.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBLbrJxGtro
Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

Bert, that's never a problem. I like to say I run a water taxi.
Just so everyone knows, next weekend is a must do on the Ghost Camp. The weekend following is likewise a must. February 1st is looming. I plan to be out there December 12th and 13th and from the 18th to the 22nd. I'll have to head home to see the family for Christmas through New Years. When crunch time comes near the end of January, I may take a couple days off of work to make sure it gets done by Feb. 1st.
I'm going to need all the help y'all can muster to get this done. There is simply no way it can happen without help. I thought we'd be well beyond where we are on the Ghost Camp at this point, but the flip side of that is we are well beyond where I thought we would be on Blockade Runners. All that work will be for naught without meeting the deadline though. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
