There is a guy at the end of my road that sells a lot of these types of classic style lures. However he's rarely there except weekends in summer. If I see him and he has some ill pick up 4 or 5 for you.

              • Classic , Harvey . A gold 1/4 ounce Johnson Sprite is a lure that can catch any fish in the bay in my opinion . I prefer 1/4 OZ . Because of its lighter fluttering , slow sink . 1/2 OZ. With deeper water , faster current . Remember when we fished , at the end of the day , you were missing fish on plastic . I told you to put on a gold spoon . Bam , your 1/2 oz. Spoon landed your best trout of the day .

                • Red behind gold. Yellow or white behind silver. Great surf bait and consistent fish finder. I treasure your opinions on lures, plugger. Your just a little kennel blind on corky's.

                          • John , I've seen spoons with eyes . Over thinking ? Nah . Does an eye make it a better lure ? Does a buck tail make it a better lure ? I know your answer to that one , Harvey . A plain spoon is excellent and catches fish . Extras if they give you more confidence makes it a better lure . I have an old friend and excellent fisherman who says buck tails lessen the flutter and action on the spoon . I can see that . I can see the color and "wave " of the buck tail being enticing .

                            • FISHINGTWO , call and ask about the peanuts . They use to be there with the brokenbacks . It's been a while since I was on the site . I'm glad I got some when getting was good . Hopefully he's still making them . I'd like to know myself . Like I said Paul is getting old .

                              • I've fished spoons without the tails. The flutter is equally sufficient either way. The tail makes it a bigger bait with an extra color flash. Key is to rig it with a split ring through the eye hole and small barrel swivel to make it work.
