Negatory on the drip edge then. There is nothing like that out there.

there is different types of drip edge. the pic is the most common. its just to keep the water out the roof decking.

There is nothing at all like that in the stuff that was donated by Deano. Lots of other stuff, but no drip edge. Nails, shingles, tar paper, and flashing is all that's out there.

No problem I can pick the drip edge up when I get the nails and tin tabs. It looks like Greg will bring the roofers down Saturday morning, we will have to finish the facia and cut the plywood for the guys while they are on the roof doing their thing ....hopefully we will be done Saturday evening, Greg's guys said it shouldn't be a problem to knock it all out in one day.

They're broad flat headed, perhaps an inch long, maybe an inch and a quarter. There's a big bucket of them that Deano brought down. I'm sure a coil nailer would make things go faster. I reckon if the guy has a roofing crew, he probably has tools like that. As far as the plywood decking, I'd like to use screws if possible. I've got a ton of 3 inch screws.

There's a 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket of roofing nails in the living room right next to the table.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

That's the ones I was talking about.

well, the deal is we aren't getting the guy and the crew, just the crew. So as far as a coil nailer, not real sure about that I think they'll probably just bring hammers.

Everyone bring your cordless drills and have them charged up for screwing down the decking.

We can come behind the roofers and shoot screws. I think a ring shank 16d nail would hold pretty well.

We'll be out there from early Saturday 'til Sunday when it's all done Lance. Heck, if they finish Saturday, might even make a run at the Ghost Camp, but not likely. I think we'll have enough to do chopping up the old tin and hauling it out. I might even run out there on Friday afternoon and spend the night. Looks like I won't be able to make the party anyway. Anyone not out helping us on Saturday, make sure you try to fish the tournament Bountyhunter has been putting together.

I don't mind tacking the decking down with nails, but I'd like at least 3 screws into each joist. If a storm comes, we'll lose some shingles, but I don't want to lose any decking.
