  • (*&$&( Academy!

I stopped by the one in Webster to get them to hang up one of the flyers for the War Memorial Tournament and they wouldn't do it, so they can kiss my........ Looks like FTU and Marburgers will be getting more of my business, both of them donated to the tournament and FTU has a flyer displayed. I need to swing by Marburgers tomorrow with a flyer for them.

Academy had gotten too big for their own good, they will go the way of all the other big Corporate Sports stores if they don't remember who got them as big as they are right now!

You have to have a letter approving it from their corporate office, which if you ask me is just f'n BS.

The young man at the welcome desk (I guess that is what you call it) took one. He is a Coast Guard Reserve and an Eagle Scout. He is going to take down to the Coastie Station and put it on a bulletin board...... He felt really bad that the manager treated me pretty badly and even apologized for her....she was a Beeitch!

Call corporate and complain to them about their policy and the way she acted. Maybe they will contribute!

                      Derek,
that is 100 percent crap that they did that, the manager is scared of corporate!

Anyway, send me the flyer and we will display it at Donna's jewlery store in clear lake and her father will give some to his Shriner sportsmen club.

BH- I'd call corporate... They can easily give you permission. Especially since its such a great event and goes to such a worthy cause. Academy would be tickled to death to help out. You just spoke to the wrong dumbarse at Academy who happened to be the only one who graduated HS so he's manager

I agree with Coe-I too have problems with tourney sponsorship from them and was always advised to send a letter to corporate-that way I got back a letter giving a discount (except last year when they no responsed me-but they did years before).
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I called and they pointed me to this statement on their web page..........

                              Fund-raising Events
Academy policies do not allow any organization to fundraise, sell items of any kind or otherwise solicit customer support at our store locations.

In other words, because the flyer has the words "Fundraiser" on it, their policy won't let them display the flyer. So once more they can kiss my............
