Sigh....beandaddy...yes, it has been established that slyel was just passing by and the other guy was in the wrong and being a jerk....yes, I know and agree. But that’s not what the analogy with the cabana was about –the analogy was about, and what I have been trying to ask here, the etiquette of fishing around other peoples lights (AND YES, I KNOW SLYEL WAS NOT FISHING THIS GUYS LIGHTS) and then further, how this may or may not extend to fishing near or around other people in general . Come on, this is a forum of saltwater fishing enthusiast’s it would seem to be a great place to discuss something of this nature!

Well HarryK came to my rescue when perverted and sick minds like robalo tried to twist my innocent post around. Afterall, everybody knows that in alot of foreign countries babes are sometime called dudes.

And the last time I had some try to come into the cabana camp set up on the beach, I showed them my etiquette and total/complete hospitality, to wit:

OH Geez What was I thinking. As stated in my previous post please dont post some silly reply trying to create a grey area. So here we go again.


1. Remind him we can fish or fight and I am alot better fighter than a fisherman. That one usually gets their attention.

Point statement
Some people can really fight good and its fun to them!!! Remember this!!

2. Stop and fishe their light and have a lure chunking contest which I am certain I would have won.

Point of Statement
Some people when provoked may actually piss ahole off more than if he just left them alone. They enjoy getting aholes all jacked up.!! I fall under that category at times.

3. Move on and do nothing and teach the kid to turn a cheek.

Point of statement
It is possible you may have a warrant out or have had a few cool ones and want to hide from the cops! This is when this choice becomes correct. Remember his location and Play pooh dollar with him later. I love that game. Only cost a dollar!!!

4. Go and whip their arse and teach their kids if you do stupid stuff you get a beat down.

Point of statement
Some people will whip you arse for what you think is nothing or being funny. Especially if they feel they are liquored up and putting on a show for others around them. Nothing funnier than seeing a drunk wisearse get a beatdown. Do what you say and say what you mean. Simple This is why I have a concealed handgun liscense and carry one 90 percent of the time.There are crazy people out there deal with it!!

Geez I am worn out!!
If I am navigating a waterway and feel the safest course is to run the middle of a channel and someone has lines out. Too bad for them I am obligated to navigate a vessel in a safe manner. A kind wave and a simple sorry is a coutesy. I dont owe them Squat. When doing so remember number Point of statement for 4 above. And point of statement number 2 also.

It is the entitlement people feel is owed to them that creates all this "lawyerball" spewing out of their pie holes. Note still no grey area!!!
Oh what the heck is a Cabana? Is that something Cuban? Like a Cuban Speedo? What would people be in you swim shorts for? Wont be caught dead in one whatever it is. If I have time to go to the beach I will be fishing,hunting or chasing my ol lady instead.
