I put my kayak in the water (water is relative) at the first bridge on the way to Harborwalk at about 0530. I made it about 100 yards down the bayou before I had to get out and push. I made it another 400 yards before I turned around and slugged back to the launch. At one point, I bailed out entirely and sled dogged my kayak across the marsh grass. Took me two hours round trip for 1000 yards or so. Im such a rocket scientist, I should have driven down to the DC and put in there.
I'm not smart enough to quit so I went over to Moses Lake to see what it looked like - mud pit. I drove down to Sportsman Rd. - 100 yards from the launch until the water started. I'd seen that movie already so I passed. I went down and launched again at the GYB. Fished the GSC and caught 1 flounder. Packed it in at 1:30p and came home.
What a day.
