I put my kayak in the water (water is relative) at the first bridge on the way to Harborwalk at about 0530. I made it about 100 yards down the bayou before I had to get out and push. I made it another 400 yards before I turned around and slugged back to the launch. At one point, I bailed out entirely and sled dogged my kayak across the marsh grass. Took me two hours round trip for 1000 yards or so. Im such a rocket scientist, I should have driven down to the DC and put in there.

I'm not smart enough to quit so I went over to Moses Lake to see what it looked like - mud pit. I drove down to Sportsman Rd. - 100 yards from the launch until the water started. I'd seen that movie already so I passed. I went down and launched again at the GYB. Fished the GSC and caught 1 flounder. Packed it in at 1:30p and came home.

    What a day.

Wow!!! My brother called-first he wanted to use my boat this weekend which was fine with me-then he called and had driven by clear lake and said it was almost empty of water and he wasn't about to try and ruin my boat by taking it out.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

          It's low!!

Crazy low! The solstice coupled with the howling wind yesterday pushed it out further than any other time I can remember. I stuck where I never have before even on crazy low winter tides. Fortunately I wasn't far from deeper water.

I fished this afternoon. The deepest water was 5'. I think the trout bite was early, because I couldn't catch chit! It was a good day to be in the Flatscat!

I got out to SLP around noonish. No problem getting out of the marina or to the camp. It's low, but not nearly as low as I've seen. I guess it was out more earlier. Not a hint of wind here.

I was in a Suburban. I wasn't parked at the DC. I was at the little bayou before the DC, the first overpass on the way to Harborwalk.

It gushed back in today. It's a regular winter tide now. Lower than summer, but not low enough to worry about.
