007 guided the boat out of Sea Isle and pointed the her towards the pass, it wasn't a bad run against the wind in the morning and soon we were in trout green water and a strong in coming tide. Everything looked right but someone forgot to tell the fish. The first spot only produced a 16.5 inch flounder and an 18 inch trout.
We moved off looking for the reds up the bayou towards the camp as we needed to meet up with Coachlaw and get the pass-around Stike-out Stik. As we waited for Coach we didn't just sit around we were busy looking for reds. We saw some but getting them to bite was another story. However we were able to get our prize fish of the day and that was the winning flouder. It was close too, the flounder slide in the net and the hook popped out of it's mouth.
After Coach and company arrived we headed to the camp and grabbed the Stik, we were going to need it for our next spot. A short run put us in the super secret redfish hole and things looked very good. However once more no one told the reds they were suppose to be there. We did manage a sheepie and one red that was just a frog's hair short before pulling the plug and hitting our next spot.
The next spot once more looked right and the tide was now running out, so we figured the reds were about to turn on. No such luck, but we did boat another big flounder to pad our stringer. We stop at a few more spots before heading back east and closer to the weigh-in.
The ride make east was bumpy and we got our Saturday shower at the same time. All was good the water spray felt really good on the hot day. 007 made the call and we pulled into one of the south shore coves. The water wasn't great, but reds never seem to mind the color of the water. After another nice flounder hit the ice, we finally connected with a good red. Though it wasn't in the class of Coe's red it put up a pretty good fight and when it hit the ice Team Hippie's Slam was competed. We did fish a little while longer and picked up one more under sized red but that was it.
We didn't kill them, but we caught fish all day and lost a couple of strong fish during the day. In short it was a blast and 007 as never failed to put us on fish, Thanks Mike. Team Hippie will be back next year, so you guys and gals better get ready....

We've won or placed in every tournament that we've fished in and with the way that you catch fish, I don't seeing it ending anytime soon. Once again, I had a great time and it's always a pleasure to fish with you. If anyone wants a piece of Team Hippy, we're not too hard to find!
