  • July 4th Redfish

Well Yan and I fished hard all morning til around 12:30 before calling it. Managed only 1 redfish had numerous of hits and we lost one flounder at the boat a few sand trout mixed in... it was a tough grind. This red took me around the boat twice had the rod tip in the water as to not get cut off by main engine or trolling motor... Took me a good 3 minutes before we had it in the net.

Measured 27 3/4" and 7LB on Bocas, she shrunk 3/4" on the ice but maintained the 7.0LB for the official weight.

                  Coe,

Great Redfish my man. Congrats on the win. Tourney day the big reds were blasting tops early along the shorelines. Notice the hook is missing on the topwater. One of the big Reds completly tore it off. Fortunatley, I landed it with the back treble.

Great tournament, and great venue....I look foward to next year!

Albert, I was seriously worried when you told me you had reds all around 7lbs...I knew it was a tough day and was lucky to get just that one.
