  • Land deal on the westend?

Anyone have anymore detailed info on the land procurement that was on the news this morning?

I didn't see any news, but the other day found on the 'net that there is 130 acres for sale with frontage on Chocolate Bayou. I was thinking "cool" but then saw they are wanting $3.5 million for it. Woah. That's $30,000 per acre. Are they nuts???

Yep, it's the Marquette deal on the 1000+ acres near Spanish Grant-same one that bellied up a few years ago. The GLO bought the land and owns it. Apparently will get into the real estate deveolpment biz with Marquette-oh boy won't that be great-NOT.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

          Land deal on the westend?

We've marketed a few properties in chocolate and on the island.

I think the state is just going to hold the land while Marquette looks for a possible developer. In other words nothing is really happening with that property right now.
You'd have to be nuts to start a large development right now!
