I didn't see any news, but the other day found on the 'net that there is 130 acres for sale with frontage on Chocolate Bayou. I was thinking "cool" but then saw they are wanting $3.5 million for it. Woah. That's $30,000 per acre. Are they nuts??? -

Yep, it's the Marquette deal on the 1000+ acres near Spanish Grant-same one that bellied up a few years ago. The GLO bought the land and owns it. I think the state is just going to hold the land while Marquette looks for a possible developer. In other words nothing is really happening with that property right now.
