I would like to say it was a great couple of days out there. We did get a lot done, and we did enjoy the time. But it seems the Mercury on the Ugly Mudda is shot. Catostrophic failure. I'll be down there with guests Sat/Sun and I'll have to putter around with just my kicker motor. Not long after the motor died, I got the call from my dad that my grandmother passed away. At 92, she had been fighting lung cancer since October. Certainly not a tragedy for her to go at such an advanced age. She was in a lot of pain and I am thankful that she no longer has to deal with that. I will miss her. She led such an interesting life.

Thanks to Tom, Bob, and their buddy Frank for busting their humps out there. We got a lot done and hauled away.

My old coach, his wife Jennifer, and another couple are down from Bastrop. We plan on hitting the Ghost Camp hard tomorrow and then due to the motor issues we'll spend the rest of the time at the camp. I'll be the only one staying out there at night, so if anyone wants to join, just come by or give me a call. We have 3 beds open.

        See y'all soon. - Sandy

Thanks Y'all. I'm getting ready for my trip to New Orleans. Gotta line up my house sitters (Neighbors with guns) as far as my plans. I'll be back to fill everyone in on the last couple of days as soon as I can. Sorry I didn't make it over to the weigh in. Running with my kicker it takes about 30 minutes to get from the camp to the ramp.

I want to try to make it out to the camp and check it out sometime soon. I just don't get down that far very often.
Do you have GPS coordinates so I can find it when I get the gps back?

If'n you don't mind. I'd like to do a late nite lay-over on the dock in the middle of the week. Consider me a 3am to sunrise guard dog, if the wind will just lay down. If you'd rather not see anyone there during you're period of absence, then that's ok with me as well. Not even sure if I am going to make a trip at all but I am itching to go.
Have a great visit in N.O., Yo!

You're always welcome to the dock and the porch Bert. It would be great to have people keep an eye and check on things. If you get a wild hair, you can also haul away all the debris beneath the steps, but not the good hardware in the buckets As far as going inside, the rule has always been that a partner has to be there for that. TMO is pretty much the partner in charge while I'm gone. 007,should be there with him a bunch, Lurefisher should be there doing the roof at some point as well.
