  • Boat repair update

Motor is running great. Acie is a whiz! $485.00 Running it for a few minutes every day...New Trailer lights installed $50.00 but won't work, wiring problem somewhere.....GPS sent to Garmin for repair or replacement $170.00....New Stern light installed $40.00....Unstrapped to put new strap on the winch $10.00 and the front end popped up 6". Trailer is bent where the fork goes to the side rails. I guess they had too much weight on the back end when the pulled it out and it bent. Nothing is cracked and it still runs straight down the road, so I am just going to adjust it so it sits flat on the runners and let it go unless I start to see signs of weakness somewhere....Have a stainless prop,(old one is torn to shreds) but couldn't get the old one off to put the new one on. May have to take it to someone to do it for me.
Still more to do, but should be fishable this weekend so I am going to run around on Sunday am.

Sounds like you and me are doing the same old boat dance. Long live our tin cans.

Sounds like you got it covered. See ya on the water soon!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Your boat sounds like my boat problems, just doesnt end. But as long as it gets you on the water to fish, let it ride. Good luck this weekend

It was not his fault. His buddie dunked the boat when he borrowed it.

Watch the tires for wear. I had a trailer that was screwed like that , went thru tires like you wouldn't beleive.

                        Will do....Thanks.
It seems to be aligned pretty well still, but if I have any problems I will replace it. I just put new tires on it a couple of months ago, so they will be good for a while. I don't fish out of my boat that much. everyone I fish with has much nicer boats.

Filleld the tank up with gas this evening. While at the gas station, I leaned against the trolling motor prop and it spun really easy. I turned it on and realized that the shear pin had been sheared. Went home and fixed the shear pin, grilled some steaks and went back around front and smelled gas. Looked over at the boat and a big puddle was under the boat and a small stream running out of the plug hole. Gotta get a new tank now. This boat is gonna be brand new before I finish with it!
