I recognise him from the pictures.
I only meet him once and shook hands. I could tell he was a old salt and I was kind of
nervous as I could also tell he was silently evaluating me. I hope he aproved.
    God Speed, sir.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

You guys really do a great job of honoring a friend.

I can tell that I really missed out by not getting to meet Glen myself.

He was quite a character. I've spent a lot of today speaking with family members on the phone and they've all said that Glen spoke very highly of me and truly appreciated my and my friends hard work on the place. I'll tell y'all, this sure is hard to deal with. It seemed like we took turns breaking down and crying.

His son especially wanted to talk to me about the camp because he said it was his dad's great love. We spoke about the deadline and he asked me to take the lead in dealing with the state for the time being. Accordingly, I'll be calling the GLO tomorrow to see if we can get an extension on the deadline to have the old place removed.

Regardless of what the state says, I'm going to take his son's advice, that Glen would not have wanted us to stop working. 2112 has volunteered to come out Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, and hopefully we'll get a couple more people if possible.

I just hope I can honor his memory by working that much harder to make everything happen.
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Sandy, as I told you yesterday if there is anything I can do let me know...I kind of felt the same way when I worked with him a couple of days....like I was being evaluated as to what kind of a person I was I hope I passed as well...he seemed like a very honorable man and I am very sorry he has passed. He will definitely be watching over that old place making sure it is how he would have wanted it. God speed Glen, you will definitely be missed and often thought of on the bayou.

Sandy, I was late reading this. Glen was a great guy and I had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. He will truly be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with you and of course his family.
