  • Question on Cobia Regulations...

Okay after much debate and going back and forth I have no clue as to the answer... Texas Law states that a Cobia but be 37" to the fork however Federal Regulations state that the Cobia only has to be 33" so if I'm leaving out of Galveston... WHAT IS IT!? We caught a 34" and let it go because it wasn't 37".

I've always heard 37" but reading the Federal Regulations it says 33"... Which one supercedes the other? I'll open this up to debate...

    37" Period! No debate necessary.

You can catch and keep it in Federal waters, but it better not be on your boat when you're headed in to a Texas port. Solution? Eat it on the boat.

Yes, gotta come thru State waters-kind of reverse to snapper regs. Must be 37".
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
