Keep a sharp eye out there are gator's in west bay and not near marshes and were fresh water run-off spot's.I was walkin out and was like WTH is that from a good distance so i threw my topwater at it which landed four feet away and it didn't even flinch.I got closer and was like wth is that doing here.I got past it and it started to follow me from a great distance. It was looking for a easy meal of my stringer of reds.Keep your eyes open.

Chris,
That wasn't a gator it was one of the 100 pound lizards they are breeding for the Texas coast to go along with the giant flounders."Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after" ~ Henry David Thoreau

They're there. I had a close encounter with one a couple years ago. Good thing TTU Wader was there to save me."If our father had his say, nobody who did not know how to catch a fish would be allowed to disgrace a fish by catching him." Norman Maclean, from A River Runs Through It
