Shimano spinning reels

Well I got to thinking that it sure would be nice to have a stella but than I got to doing some math and I dont know what to do.

1 Stella 4000 or 3000 FI= 750ish

1 stella= 3 sustains
or
1 stella= 4 stradics with left over money

What the hell should I get? I know these are all great reels. My usual standard is stradics.

I just thought it would be sick to have that one great go to setup like a stella 4000 on a gloomis glx.

Its honestly far more useful to me than my AR15

I'm just not there yet. I love good equipment, but what you're describing is a paycheck to me. Someday I might get there, but for now I'm buying second tier gear!

Man I gotta say my sedona 2500 is pretty good, but then the stradic is even better by a long shot. I cant imagine how much better the stella would have to be justifiable but then again i never used one....is it THAT ice cream?

I have Stradics from 1000 - 8000 series. I just went into FTU yesterday off I-10 and talked with them about a bigger spinning reel the Sustains are nice may get one of those as an entry into tuna spinning reel etc. The Stella is expensive at 1,000

For that price, why not get a Van Staal? Sheez, $1k for a spinning reel.

750 is the actual price for the stella FI unless you are getting one of the SWs which are the big offshore ones. I think me having an AR 15 is just as pointless. I have a deer rifle a bird gun and 4 different carry guns. The AR sits in the safe and I never shoot it. I would probably love it if I had some land to go light up some hogs though.

I have actually fished with a van staal, they are built like a tank, but i am actually more comfortable with the much lighter stradic.

I will probably go the sustain route if I sell it.

Fishingtackledirect.com has the Stradics for 139.00 for their Father's Day Sale! I'd love a Stella or Sustain, but there is no way I could justify spending that kind of dinero on a reel. I do love my Stradic!

I typically wouldnt even think about spending this kind of money on a reel either, but i thought it would be fun to sell the AR and try one out. If it wasn't worth it i could always sell it if i kept it nice id only loose a bit. I dont know it was just a thought.

In clear water flats or at night using a spotlight, that AR would nail the flatties!!! Heck, you wouldn't need FMJs, soft tips would work fine.

Is that legal? It probably is for carp.

Just get a Sahara and don't look back. There is NO REASON to pay this much for a reel. Don't show yourself to be one of those people with more money than sense.
