Thought I would give you guys a heads up....GHS and I were fishing in west bay for a change and Fri. evening we were chunking some dyed shrimp. I caught 2 trout in two casts. One was 17, the next was 18. Neither one was bleeding at all and shortly after while wading I was spun 180 degrees and shortly pulled. Through the thrashing water at the end of my stringer I'm watching what appeared to be a 3 1/2-4 foot blacktip. He luckily pulled the trout clean off my stringer without pulling me off my feet.....I won't be tieing my stringer around my wading belt anymore...I don't suggest it to any others....Just a heads up fellas......Tight lines......pictures of the wades coming shortly....

This is why I don't wade. Had a BIG one take me about 30 feet in a matter of seconds. Don't even remember how I got back to shore. Terrified is the right word, but it doesn't quite illustrate the level of terror I experienced. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Why didn't Travis grab the shark and ring it's neck like a wounded greenhead?"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Travis was laughin at me. I prob said 10 cuss words I'm sure. I use the Orange Everlast slick stringer an the fish are prone to swimming back up the stringer towards me its so slick. I'm about to re-evaluate my stringer!Don't follow my boat......I don't catch fish......

Maybe so , but I have a hookset stringer and several other "new" styles". They all sink from they're own weight which pulls them toward you, and they are constantly tangling around your feet.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View PostYou need to get a HookSet Stringer & that won't happen!
In my Opinion the old blue numark rope stringers are the best. They were fairly stiff and light enough to float a bit."GET OFF MY REEF!"

I'm down to my last numark stringer and I'm going to cry when I lose it.
