Flapper is what I have had in the past. You can turn em around and use em again.

Flappers are best IMO and inexpensive at this place. http://www.duckworksbbs.com/hardware...0500/index.htm

Just my humble opinion, but I've never seen a scupper that worked properly for any period of time.

If they're installed properly they work fine, particularly on self-draining boats without a bilge. Their purpose is to let water out, not keep water out.

I thought they were designed not to let it in.

Well, what's the point then? Just put plugs in.

If a self-bailing boat takes water there has to be a way to let it out. The flappers work fine for waves or splashes. They will leak under pressure, but not as much as without!

I do not understand why the scuppers are wearing out? Letting water in doesn't mean they are faulty... They are designed to let water out who gives a crap if water gets in as long as it can get out... A plug is not the answer for sure...

Well, this is like math. I clearly don't understand it.
