  • FISH ID (no pic)

What are these little fish I keep catching that has a shovel (spade) shaped head, a mouth full of teeth, long, tubular and thick black stripes going around its body?

I have been catching them around greens pass. I thought they were in deeper (50+)ft though? The color was like a gold color with solid black, almost like a young black drum stripes. the head is FLAT... no exaggeration, with eyes on top of his head. really weird.

"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

If it's a "Dog fish" be careful when handling it.....they're poisonous.....if you have any cuts on your hands it will lead to a nasty infection.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

Its different... I've caught that fish he's holding there in the photo... I catch in the ship channel and at Jetty... Loves the rocks and puts up a pretty big fight...(for its size)

Exactly, it had my rod bent pretty good and I was surprised to see how small it was. I always catch them with a gold spoon.

Probably a lizard. That's a pic of an aussie fish called a flathead, really hard to believe that you caught it here.

You had me scared for a sec. I didn't realize those pics were from Australia. Do those flatheads have teeth?
