Fish West End offshore tournament?

Coe, have you ever thought about putting on an offshore tournament during the summer months? You could do a division for king, red snapper, ling and dorado, and then have a mixed bag calcutta as well. Maybe we could make it happen if we had enough people show interest on here.

I figure it'd be a small, but friendly T, with likely a small pot and maybe a calcutta the night before??? I say small pot/entry fee because $3-4/gallon gas (yippee-sorry but that makes me money!) and 100-300 gallons per tank, plus baits and tackle makes for an expensive day-if ya add a decent entry fee ($100/pp), then you're looking at $1000 to fish with 4 aboard.

I recommend a Calcutta pot (that way I can bid to buy Robert's boat!) and maybe $50-100/person entry fee-maybe a 2 weekend T with 2-3 weeks between weekends for weather window with a 3-4 day advance postponement due to weather?????? Base it outta Sea Isle marina-that way the pass and jetties are near equal distance to getting out, plus no expenses for renting chairs/tables. Maybe try BP, FTU and Marburgers as sponsors?? I could send a letter to BP. I think with just FWE Members allowed as captains, we could have 15+ boats pretty easily-at 4 per boat average, that'd be 60+ entered. Have it on a saturday after Snaps open, likely July??? (June 25th is taken-the Marina will be occupied with another tourney). I'd be willing to help do it-have HP plotter for entry boards and would try to get some sponsorship. I know BTC and Mark would do it, so would my brother, so that's 5 boats already counting Mark, Robert, me, brother and Coe.
