I watched a special on this the other night, he said that when he jumped out of the balloon he thought he was floating off into space because there was no air he was outside of our atmosphere, he thought he was just tumbling around not going anywhere and it was only when he hear the sound of the wind once he reentered that he knew he was dropping lol. WHAT A RIDE!
