LOL well it can't go to the 13th of June because we are going on vacation that weekend. I told the wife it was on the 20th. Can't really take off 2 Saturday's in a row. So lets make it the 4th!!!Comment

Any date but June 13 works for me pretty much. Even June 13th works if can fish 2 tourneys in 1 day which 1 will end at 2 p.m. and I'll be drunk by then anyway and likely have zero fish.

The bay may or not be all that crowded fishing wise on the 4th but there will be plenty of boters like the one that pulled up to me and ap last year and tossed out an anchor and then his kids jump out and start swimming next us. lots of fun! And the island will be completely fvvvvvd up.
Robalo, is the dude that landed that big ray in his bote so he could win the "big fish" award, that then popped him a couple of times on the leg gonna be there this year?Comment

That is a tough weekend to get to the island and to be on the island. It should not be as bad this year since IKE F'd things up though.
I hope I can get out there then or Jeremy will have to wade all by his lonesome!sigpic

Approved!!!
After much talk we have been approved to hold the event at Waterman. The restraunt is not operational so I will be contacting Redfish Rob & Salty Chef on the site to see if they could bring the BBQ Smoker down and cater the event for us.
We'll have the downstairs bar area... I guess we'll have to bring a few kegs or something
Music and Entertainment will need to be worked out if someone could help me on this end I'd really appreciate it!
We might have to bring in Port-a-Cans not sure of the repair process.
The launch is operational
Slips will not be completed by then so you can launch at the marina and retrieve from there or launch somewhere else and drive to the weigh-in.
Fireworks show is being confirmed not sure on permits from Galveston County checking on that...
