  • Lute"s marine launch

Looking at Google Earth , I see a double ramp on the Lute's Marine property . They let you launch there ? ...fee ? Appears to have no place to tie off when launching alone . INPUT ? THANKS

Don't use the ramp at Lutes, it's too steep and there are no dock space at that ramp. Most boats don't load or unload on extream angles a more gradual ramp is safer and more user friendly. Use the ramp just down the road at horseshoe bend.It cost 5.00 leave your money in the big mail box on the road in.Launch has docking and it's not as steep therefore safer to back down when alone or by your self.

Henry, for a Kiyak you could drag it down the bank at Lutes and launch with no problem, but for a boat there is a better ramp at horeshoebend about a 1/4 mile down the road. During the day and early evening I use the ramp at 2004 for over 30 years and never had any issues with breakins....over the years those breakins have been in the weee hours of night mostly.people who are leaving their vehichle and staying at camps for the weekend or overnight. If your just fishing for the day and coming in around dark your vehicle will be OK at 2004 ramp.Me,Corndog, lurefisher,Super Spooker and Aqua Pimp all leave our vehicles there and use that ramp.Just take you gun and put it in the boat that way you can shoot'em if you catch'em messing with anything.

guys ... I run a 23' shallow running boat .... and it launches fine there

You can tie off to to the pier .... only use the ramp next to the pier ...

Cody runs a deep V pleasre craft, and his does fine there too ...

                I think the cost is $5 ....

The biggest advntage is you can park right near the Marina Store, so no security issues .... never an issue with the owner wathing over it .....

                call for the exact price

I've launched there 3 times in the last 2 weeks with no problem at all in my Shoalwater. The ramp is $3 and the lift is $10. I'll be there again Sunday morning testing a few new props.

There a dock right next to the ramp that you can tie your boat to while you park your truck.

I see that a really nice fish cleaning station is in the works as well.

I like the idea of a steep ramp for my high trailer.I will have to try Lutes.I haven;t had any problems at the 2004 bridge with the truck yet(as far as thevies).

Lute's ramp may be a little weird, but it seems serviceable to me. There is a dock right next to it. I wish I was in a position to use them all the time because I would opt for the hoist every single time. Talk about a trailer saver.
