Planning on heading out late Friday, staying through sunset on Sunday. I'll be doin' some little stuff puttin' the place together, organizin', and throwing out stuff. I plan on fishin' a bunch too. Anyone wants in, just let me know. So far, it's just me and Fat Albert.

    WORK BULLETIN:

Next Saturday, November 13th will be a big work day. TRP 150 is planning to deliver the pilings for the generator shed. They're 16 foot long 8X8s. Could really use some help getting them out there in the morning. I plan to have the A-Frame and water jet ready to jet them in as soon as we get them there. This is the final big project. Bring your boots. Brew is on me, as well as the vittles. Get your name in the pot before Thursday the 11th so I can get enough food for everyone. I'll need someone with a chainsaw as well, as mine has still not been replaced.

If I come home from deer hunting early, I can come help out. Won't know until next week though. Depends on the weather and how full my igloos are.

16 foot 8X8's Have I mention that my back has been acting up lately. Sandy, It's too early to say but I'll try and come down next weekend and help getting them out to the camp. Your welcome to use my small chain saw if you need it.

I had my dates mixed up... I meant the following weekend. No way I'm coming home early opening weekend of deer season.

Loadin' up and headin' out. Should be seein' Matthew this weekend as he begins surveying for his rebuild. Otherwise, it's going to be a quiet weekend out there. I'll be fishin'.

I may do a fly-by early Sunday morning.
I work just enough to pay for my fishing habit.

Well, FISHNNUT and company made it out this afternoon. I got 3 pilings driven to shore up the dock and made 2 of the 8 railing braces I'll need to get the porch railings done. The best part is I got the A-Frame from my buddy down the bayou to help drive the pilings for the generator shed next weekend.

I started cookin' dinner tonight and FISHNNUT'S crew kept bringin' in the trout. I kept cookin' 'em as fast as they could bring them in. 'Twas a good supper. The fish are not fast and furious, but they're here. Billy (FISHNNUT'S buddy) just brought in a 21 incher to show me. It's a glorious night here. Makes me think of old Glenn and wishin' he was here to see the place almost finished . . . . . We miss you Old Man.

Man DB, I'm always talkin' to Glenn. Before I do something out here and when I'm doin' it, I'm askin' him if I'm doin' it the way it should be done. He even appears to me in dreams sometimes. I remember how proud he was when I told him I was going to make him an Admiral's hat because he was the admiral of the Blockade Runners. I never got the hat made . But he was the Admiral. I still can't believe he's gone. It was so sudden. There will never be another Admiral out here. The highest rank from now on is Commodore, which I've taken for now. Though VJER calls me the "Common-Whore" LOL. Glenn is remembered often. I wish his sons would have taken an interest in the place, but all they wanted was money.

                        See you tomorrow Matt!

Well, I didn't get to do all that much fishin', and I didn't get to do any of the cleaning and organizing I had hoped to do. But I did get the pilings done and lag bolted. I did get most of the porch railing braces made. I did get to have a good time with some unexpected guests.

Had a really good time Rusty. Billy was good company as were your boys. I still think they need name tags. I never once called either by their names for fear of getting it backwards. I'm glad y'all had a good time. Next time you gotta bring down the Gray Ghost.

Matthew, it was great to see some bit of progress going on over there. I wish I could come over there and help y'all, but I've got too much on my "To Do" list to lighten up. I should be able to lend a hand in the upcoming months.

TRP 150, a pleasure as always. Can't wait to get things going this coming Saturday.

I'm excited and a bit skeered about this coming weekend. It'll be a whole new thing for me jetting in pilings on dry land. I just hope the weather will cooperate.

I've been pretty useless at picture taking lately, which bothers me because I have so many pics that need to be taken. Here are just a couple from this weekend.

A freaky occurrence happened to me at the ramp. I had just gotten everything ready to roll when 2 of the biggest raccoons I've ever seen game running AT me! I jumped in the truck and Albert was going nuts as the coons tried to get up into the boat. I took off and the beggars FOLLOWED me to the dumpster. I couldn't get out and throw the trash away. I made another couple circles before they lost interest.
