Important information concerning all of us

This comes from my tax man who has to stay up with all taxing information.
Please take note ... and vote NO in the 2 Nov election.
Pass on to your friends and family that vote in Texas whether they are
right, left, or down the middle..

    READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY!!!

The State of Texas is getting ready to add property tax to your home!!!!!
Proposition 2 and Proposition 3 in the Nov. 2 election will allow the State
of Texas to start adding a State Property Tax to each home in the State.

Proposition 2-The constitutional amendment authorizing the State legislature
to provide for the ad valor em taxation of a residence homestead solely on
the basis of the property's value as a residence homestead.
In short, the State wants to tax your house based on its stated value. This
is a STATE added tax over and ABOVE the County Property tax you already
    pay!!!!!

Proposition 3-The constitutional amendment providing the uniform standards
and procedures for the appraisal of property for ad valor em tax purposes.
In short, how your property will be valued for the additional property
    tax!!!!

All homeowners in the State of Texas must go to the polls on November 2,
2010 and vote NO on both Propositions 2 and 3. If you do not, the
legislature will tax your home. We have to send a clear message to the
political representatives that we are taxed enough!!!! DO NOT FAIL TO VOTE
ON THIS, IT WILL OPEN A DOOR WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CLOSE.
We are West End Anglers, a saltwater tribe!

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. The bill is authored by Representatives John Otto, Ryan Guillen and Patrick Rose. Sponsors of the proposed measure are Sens. Tommy Williams and Dan Patrick. The measure was filed with Secretary of State Hope Andrade on June 3, 2009. The Texas House of Representatives approved the proposed amendment on April 27, 2009 with a vote of 142-0, followed by the State Senate on May 26, 2009 with a vote of 31-0.

This bill/amendment sounds good but aint-it's being promoted as a set of rules/guidelines for home /property valuation making it uniform. Never trust a constitutional amendment!

In a joint statement by Representative Leo Berman and Senator Kevin Eltife on October 14, 2009, the legislators attempted to calm concerned voters who are worried that Proposition 2 would allow the state to directly tax properties:

Eltife and Berman insisted that the measure would not allow appraisal districts to continue to apply the "highest and best" use valuations on homesteads.
According to the joint statement: "We agree the ballot language for the propositions could have been better; however, Proposition 2 in no way implies a property tax increase by the state of Texas. In fact, the state is prohibited from raising property taxes by the Texas Constitution. Proposition 2 does exactly the opposite. It prohibits tax appraisal districts from using commercial property values in the process of appraising residential properties. By getting commercial property values out of the formula, residential appraisals should be lower than in the past."[6]
State Representative Allen Vaught addressed concerns he recieved through e-mails that if Proposition 2 is passed, they would expand statewide property tax:

Vaught explained to the public that this information was untrue and that the constitution prohibits the state government from assessing property taxes.
Vaught also stated that the passage of Proposition 2, and 3, would not eliminate this constitutional restriction.

Vote against all these reps and senators that sponsored this!!

Ive known Kevin Eltife since we were kids. He's usually real conservative. He lives next door to my brother in Tyler.

But now Dan Patrick is the little fromp that use to be on the radio in Houston and he always hated the Longhorns and Dallas(enough to not like him). The guy one time said on radio that his passion is vacuuming the floors at his house. WTF?

He said Jimmy Johnsom was a jack donkey for telling the Dallas Morning News you can put it in 3 inch bold print, we will win the ballllgame against San Francisco. What a p****. Michelle would whip his *****$$ in a fight.

I'll have to read the ballot language to decide for myself. I don't see dan patrick hosing the people of Texas, but you never can trust a politician.

As it is written, it does not levy any new tax... it keeps taxing districts from valuing your property at commercial valuation if it is your homestead.
