I think Texxan1 (Thomas in Bayou Vista) probably has a suit with TWIA. The Federal Food is issued through a private insurance company usually. I don't think you'd have much luck suing the feds....."GET OFF MY REEF!"Comment

I've heard several people have been successful going after TWIA for bad faith. Flood, not so much. The problem with Flood is that it doesn't cover all that much unless you are pre-firm or actually got storm surge in the living area (which not many people in JB did).
Most people didn't realize how little was actually covered by flood. Just because someone didn't understand their policy isn't a good basis for a suit. (not talking about you personally, just people in general).
You'll need to have all your correspondence and lot's of pictures and reciepts and stuff.
