i fished this am and caught a few sand trout but knew it wasn't going to be an extra lucky day but didn't expect this. i was going down broadway towards utmb and catch a red truck out of the corner of my eye coming at me at an intersection at around 27th. he totally t-bones me and turns my truck completely around 180 degrees and pushes it up on the esplenade on broadway. i get out and start making phone calls. obviously truck totaled but no major injuries. this guy had some strange issues. he had some seizure like activity, and got very,very combative. he was fighting the ems guys and had to be chemically sedated. they talk me into the cervical collar and send me up in the ambulance. i thought they were gonna just drive me in. hell no. they tape me to a board in the hot ambulance and make me wait for this guy to calm down and we have to share the ambulance. he's yelling and screaming and cussing in spanish the whole way. he gets checked out and intubated and goes to icu. i get checked out and sent home.
anyway, he ran a red lite at about 40 or so. got witnesses for that. don't know if he's insured but it was his brother's truck but doubt it. i'm pretty much ok, sore knee and shoulder but my truck has a bent frame and the passenger side doors are crushed in. odd thing is hell on reels was rear ended by a hit and run 3 weeks ago and her car was totalled. geeze!
