Primer bagged him a mouse with the Red Ryder tonight! He was like a man possessed. Every time we saw this mouse on the porch, Albert was locked inside. Tonight, I tried to get him out and he was like, "Dude, WTF, leave me alone." So Austin capped the bugger with the Red Ryder. Thanks to 2112 for the lethal weapon. Pics to follow when I return home manana. - Sandy

Zero exaggeration. I'll tell you what! Austin was indeed a man possessed to get the mouse. He'd been practicin' shooting all day long just to get to that moment.
I liked it so much here, that I decided to stay another day. Cool breeze blowin' about now. I'm lovin' it.From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

You coming in tomorrow right? Then heading back out Tuesday? And how long will that trip last?Originally posted by coachlaw View PostZero exaggeration. I'll tell you what! Austin was indeed a man possessed to get the mouse. He'd been practicin' shooting all day long just to get to that moment.

Yep, I've got to come in tomorrow. Have to hit the hardware store. Got a couple of appointments to keep on Tuesday. As soon as I'm done with those, I'll be headed back down and Bert should be joining me. If all goes well, Tom is going to cart down a bunch of panels and meet us at the ramp Tuesday evening, so we can get rollin' with the rest of the walls.
How long will the trip last? I don't know. I thought I was coming home this evening, but it was just too dad gum beautiful out here. I'd say I'll probably be here Tues/Wed/Thurs. I've gotta squeeze all I can out of the Summer before it ends. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

No need to be skeered. You did great helping with the railing. I'll be using the 4X4 we have left as a template for the rest of them.
I just need to find someone who likes to wash dishes.

You ok there SS?Originally posted by SUPER SPOOK View Postwhatever!?$@*&#^!
With the heat the way it is and plenty of other stuff to do, I think the gen shed is going to have to wait a while. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.
The paint for the camp should be arriving in a few weeks and we'll be scrubbin', caulkin' and getting trim ready for that job. Still gotta finish the inside paneling in the bedrooms. That's #1 on the list. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Just thought I'd make a post here to prove that I actually woke up before sunrise and went fishing. 2 very rare occurrences since Ike. Will report if I caught anything or not. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."
