Sorry about Starr Mike and Donna. Nice write Sandy.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I hope he pulls through. It's amazing what dogs can live through.

I'm really sorry for what you are facing. I am a big dog person and have been through this with six dogs to date. It's the hardest part of owning dogs, and probably the most important.

I pray that you will know when it is time to end Star's suffering. She will fight as long as she thinks that is what you want.

My personal standard is when the dog can no longer be a dog and enjoy being a dog it is time. But everyone has to define that for theirself.

One of my dogs, Slammer, who happens to be the best dog I have ever owned, is 9 and has terminal stomach cancer. He is currently going through threatment and doing well, but it's a matter of when, not if. I tell people, and I'm serious, that when he doesn't feel like chasing squirrels anymore, then it's time to put him down. I have no doubt he would suffer unspeakable pain for me, but I won't ask him to do that.

Good luck with this, but I pray you do what is best for your dog and not what is easiest for you.
                        Honk if you love Jesus.
Text while driving if you want to meet him.

Yeah, it's tough when the 4 legged family members start to get old. our old Golden Retriever not long ago developed belly tumors, had an operation and they turned out to be benign and mended well. My wife wouldn't tell me the cost. I found out it was a little over $1,000. If it had been me, she would have just had me put down. Hope all turns out well.

You don't even want to know what chemo for a dog costs.

Thanks for all the prayers folks! She is hanging in there, but I think we just need to let her go. Donna is trying everything not to let that happen, but it is really starting to hurt me see her not be able to walk for more then a few steps before falling over.

                                GGF, you are 100% right!
