Thank you everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement!! I'm going to go back and read these again when the going gets tough which I'm sure it is going to. I know this is a marathon and not a sprint. I've mentally prepared myself for that. It's also a lifelong battle not just for the 6 months for the show.

I used to envy you guys talking about wadefishing or fishing from kayaks. That is one of the things I'm really going to look forward to doing once I drop some more of this weight. Thanks again everyone! Your kind words mean alot to me.

Thanks man. Ya I thought about posting before I went out there, but decided against it. I'm really looking forward to getting this weight off. I've tried before, but this time is different. They really gave me some great tools. I actually see myself getting it off this time. I'll keep you and everyone else updated. How're you doing? Last I heard you had recently gotten into a wreck and were about to have surgery. Everything ok now? Thanks again bud.

Wow...knowing how hard you are working is extremely encouraging to say the least! The definition of clutch is when opportunity and preparation collide. Sounds like you're now prepared from what you have learned and the opportunity is there. Awesome.

Congratulations on making the decision to change your life, and to do it the healthy way and not going straight to the surgery route. Big props for that. If you want to lose the weight you will, it is a mental game we play with ourselves. I speak from experience, a year ago I was 94 lbs heavier. I made the decision to lose weight, and have stuck with it. I made it a lifestyle change not a diet, diets fail. Make sure to keep us up to date on how it is going, there will be weeks you just want to say screw it, but you just have to keep going. I had someone tell me once, no food tastes as good as skinny feels, at the time I didn't and couldn't understand that. I can now. Again congrats on your loss so far and keep it up.

That's a great quote. I'm going to keep that one in my thoughts. Congratulations on your weight loss. You're right about it being a lifestyle change and not a diet. I'll keep everyone updated. Thanks again friends.

Congrats on your commitment to a better health. Its alot of hard work and determination to set your goal and keep with it without giving up. I set my goal on Febuary 1st to lose 40 to 45lbs and to reach it by June 1st. Not only did I reach my goal of 45lbs but I did it two weeks earlier than my scheduled date. It was not easy being that I love eating at Whatburger and Hooters on a regular basis and did no excercising whatsoever. I started off at 235 and now I am maintaining my weight at 190lbs. Since Febuary 1st I spend every other day lifting weights for 2 hours and my non weight days I spend stretching and alot of cardio (basketball, running, etc). The first month was the worst! The 2nd month got better and now I feel better than ever.

                      Good luck and stay focused!!!!!

Very cool! 51 lbs is awesome. Makes the 30 lbs I'm trying to lose look like a piece of cake.

Glad it's going well and keep it up. Good luck.

Hello again gang, it's been awhile since I've updated. I went back and read all of your replies and it's given me renewed inspiration. Well heres the latest. I'm now at 82 lbs lost total since 6/1. Some days are harder then others, but I just keep thinking about my goals. It got a little harder when I got home, but I'm starting to adjust to the transition now. It feels good to feel and see some of the results.

AP, That's awesome that you lost that weight. It's amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. I plan on booking a trip with you when I knock some more of this weight off. My weight has always held me back from doing something like that. I've done the party boats only because they are bigger boats, but it sucks feeling like a sardine with all those people on there. Again, thanks everyone and I'll keep you all updated!!
