  • Will Be on TV for Weightloss

It sure is nice being back home. As some of you know, I'm a pretty big guy. I was asked to participate in a television documentary about losing weight. It will air on cable next year. I can't name the channel yet since it is still in development, but will when I'm allowed too. They are filming me for 6 months. Part of it was to stay at a place in Austin for a month with no TV, internet or phone. We worked out twice a day with trainers and had a nutritionist go over healhty eating plans and so forth. I started out at 638 lbs and now I'm at 587. I lost a total of 51 lbs while I was there! Now for the next 5 months we are doing it at home. They supplied a gym membership for a year and a free trainer for 5 months. It's actually going pretty smooothly so far. I haven't really been tempted yet. I could use some prayers and words of encouragement to get me thru this lifelong battle. Thanks all!

Wish you the best. Glad you are taking this step to get back in shape. Its amazing what a little exercise can do for you.

For many of us the only exercise we get is the 12 oz arm lift with 12 reps.

Do as many crunches every other day as you can. And I'm not talking about Nestle Crunch or Captain Crunch!

That is great news, keep it up!! My younger bother was over 400lbs and he quit drinking alcohol and soda, excerised and ended up losing over 100lbs.

Keep you head up high and focus!!

Way to go Bro! Keep up the good work. My wife did the lap band thing and it has worked to an extent, but the exercize and eating right is the key. She has dropped 60 lbs rather quickly so we are slowing the pace by removing some of the fluid in the band for now. You don't want to take it off too fast or you may be unhappy with the results. It is almost funny trying to watch her eat sometimes. Restricting the esophagus like that you almost have to work food down like a snake. Sometimes she will get that blank stare and I just know things are gonna come back up. I like the way you are doing it personally. You will be even more proud of yourself knowing you did it on your terms and you beat it purely from willpower and dedication. We are all praying for you
